A mix of experience and youth, the second XV is essential for the success of the first XV.  They train and compete for selection and every trainer hopes that he has added to the quandary of selectors for the following Saturday!  This is important because every member of the squad may be asked to step up to fill slots created by unavailability at the highest level. 

With National 3 Midlands a league of 14 clubs, and the North Midlands Reserve League 1 a league of 10 clubs, an awful lot of Rugby is to be played and requires an awful lot of competitive committed players.  On top of league commitments, there is also the Shropshire Merit table to be competed and the end of season Bridgnorth (aka Shropshire 2nd Team) Cup to be defended.

Bob Adams, an experienced, enthusiastic coach, will support Ian Bletcher in squad training and continue to work hard with the second team to ensure a team is fielded each week. They will be skippered by Andy Bolton supported by Will (Belson) Askin and Adam Rees. It is essential that they are at The Old Showground for Tuesday and Thursday training to confirm their eligibility for selection.
